Digitalis purpurea ‘Alba’ is an elegant and statuesque foxglove variety, producing tall spires packed with pure white, bell-shaped flowers delicately marked with contrasting speckled throats from early to mid-summer. A very rare and elusive colour in foxgloves, this attractive and refreshing variety flowers for an extended period, with luminous white bells arranged beautifully around each stem to create an amazing display. Also known as ‘Albiflora Snow Thimble’, it brings graceful height and structure to cottage gardens, woodland borders and traditional planting schemes while attracting pollinators.
Perfect for adding brightness and vertical interest to partially shaded borders, it pairs beautifully with ferns, aquilegias and hardy geraniums for a soft naturalistic effect. The impressive flower spikes also make excellent cut flowers for indoor arrangements.
