Acer palmatum ‘Amagi Shigure’ is a rare, unique, and visually spectacular Japanese Maple variety.This Japanese Maple features uniquely textured, deeply lobed leaves that emerge in a vivid pinkish-red with dark purple veining in spring. As the spring progresses, these veins become more pronounced, and the leaves become more red. In summer, the leaves darken and become more purple, while the prominent black veins remain.
Slow-growing and upright in habit, this fantastic small tree then presents an autumnal colour of vivid orange, red and purple – again spectacular.
