Vinca Major ‘Variegata’ – Greater Periwinkle

This small evergreen shrub is great for use as groundcover or at the front of a mixed border, giving your garden flowers all the way from April to September! Vinca major ‘Variegata’ has a lovely upright habit with its bright green stems holding small deep-green leaves with creamy-white margins. Arching shoots bear large blue-violet and dark-violet flowers which contrasts amazingly against the variegated foliage. It has an ultimate height of 0.5 metres and spread of 0.75 metres making it the perfect plant for bright groundcover or a container planting scheme. 
This plant prefers to grow in full sun or partial shade. It is fully hardy so can thrive in exposed or sheltered gardens and can grow in any soil type as long as it is not overly dry.
