Viburnum Tinus Variegata – Laurustinus Variegated
£27.95
Viburnum tinus ‘Variegata’ is a handsome evergreen shrub, prized for its richly patterned foliage edged in creamy white, which brings light and contrast to the garden throughout the year. The glossy, variegated leaves form a dense, well-structured framework, while clusters of pink-tinged buds open to delicate white flowers in late winter and early spring, providing valuable seasonal interest when little else is in bloom. Its naturally rounded, tidy habit makes it equally effective as a specimen shrub, informal hedge or part of a mixed border.
This viburnum thrives in a shaded position and prefers moist, but well-drained soil, although it is adaptable once established and copes well with sheltered urban conditions. It combines beautifully with plants that enhance its year-round appeal, such as Skimmia japonica ‘Rubella’ for winter colour or Sarcococca confusa for fragrance. To maintain the plant, lightly prune after flowering to shape and remove any wayward growth, which will keep it compact and encourage fresh, healthy foliage for the coming season.
Supplied in approx. 4-5 litre containers.
