Verbena hybrida Compacta ‘Quartz XP Scarlet’ is a vibrant summer bedding plant producing large clusters of brilliant scarlet-red flowers. The intense colour remains vivid even in strong sunshine, making it an excellent choice for creating high-impact displays in containers, hanging baskets, and sunny borders. Flowering freely for many months, it provides reliable colour throughout the growing season.
Perfect for attracting butterflies and other pollinators, this colourful Verbena prefers a very sunny position in moisture-retentive, well-drained soil. Deadhead faded flower clusters regularly to encourage fresh blooms and prevent plants from becoming leggy. A fortnightly liquid feed throughout summer will promote stronger flowering, while occasional trimming of straggly stems helps maintain a neat, compact shape. Water regularly during hot, dry spells, particularly when grown in containers and hanging baskets. Combine with white, purple, or pink verbenas to create a bright, cheery summer arrangement.
