Tulip Yume no Murasaki, which translates from Japanese to “Purple Dream,” is a breathtakingly elegant lily-flowered tulip known for its deep, saturated purple hue and graceful, pointed petals that curve outward like the wings of a bird in flight. The flower is a rich, royal purple, with slight variations of violet tones depending on the light, and a subtle silvery sheen that gives the petals a soft luminosity.
This tulip grows to a medium height, typically reaching 50–60cm, and blooms in mid to late spring. Its slender, elongated flower shape adds architectural structure to garden displays, especially when planted in drifts or clusters. The upright stance and sleek petals make Yume no Murasaki ideal for modern garden designs, where clean lines and vivid colour are required.
