Tulipa ‘Negrita Parrot’ makes a bold impression with its deeply feathered petals in plum-purple, streaked with hints of magenta and violet. The blooms have a ruffled, almost sculptural appearance that draws the eye and adds drama to any spring planting. In late spring and is perfect for standout borders, statement pots, or cut flower displays.
Position in full sun and plant in well-drained soil to ensure strong, healthy blooms. Best grown in sheltered spots where the intricate flowers are protected from wind and rain. Plant bulbs in autumn at a depth of 10–15cm, spaced about 10cm apart. Deadhead after flowering and allow foliage to die back naturally. In heavier soils, lift and store bulbs once the leaves have withered. Tulipa ‘Negrita Parrot’ brings bold texture and a dramatic splash of colour to the late spring garden.
