Named after the Lavandou flower festival, Tulip Le Lavandou® is certainly the carnival queen. Slowly emerging from pale, apple green petals, the blooms unfurl in a frothy ice cream of peachy orange hues eventually bursting into a large and luxurious peony-type flower which smells deliciously of burnt sugar.Flowering from April to May, the blooms last for a long time, each one slowly opening over an extended period. Bearing multi-flowered, sturdy stems, Tulip Le Lavandou® is completely self-supporting so the flowers won’t topple in the wind. Height: 50cm (20”) Spread: 10cm (4”).Useful links:How to grow bulbs, corms and tubers Culinary information: Some parts of these flowers are edible.
