Thunbergia alata Mix, commonly known as Black-Eyed Susan Vine, produces masses of cheerful orange, yellow, cream and soft pink flowers, each centred with a distinctive dark eye. This fast-growing climber flowers from early summer until the first frosts, quickly transforming trellises, arches and fences into colourful living screens.
Perfect for cottage gardens, wildlife-friendly planting schemes and container displays, this vigorous climber pairs beautifully with sweet peas and morning glory. Easy to grow and relatively low maintenance, it benefits from regular watering during dry weather and occasional feeding to support continuous flowering. Plant in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or light shade and provide sturdy support for the twining stems to climb.
