Taxus × media is a dense, slow-growing evergreen ideal for formal hedging or structural planting. With its upright habit and rich, dark green needle-like foliage, offering year-round interest with females producing ornamental red berries in autumn if a male plant is nearby. At 80–100cm tall on arrival, it’s perfect for creating instant impact in borders or topiary displays. Yew has wonderful dense foliage making it a top choice for hedging and screening.
Plant in sun or shade in well-drained soil. Trim in late summer to maintain shape. Hardy and long-lived, it’s ideal for classic garden designs, boundary hedging, or evergreen backdrops.
