The Sweetcorn ‘Fiesta’ is a spectacular traditional Indian variety, specially bred to provide both charm and edible versatility to your garden plot. Perfect for gardeners looking for a unique crop, this vigorous, tall sweetcorn produces robust plants reaching up to 2m in height that yield stunning, uniform cobs packed with a kaleidoscope of multi-coloured kernels. Each cob is bursting with shades of deep red, blue, purple, yellow, gold, black, and white, making it a spectacular visual feature at harvest time and an absolute favourite for creating homemade popcorn.
Plants grow best in full sun and a warm, sheltered position, thriving in fertile, well-drained soil rich in organic matter. ‘Fiesta’ is ideal for harvesting young as edible baby corn, or drying on the plant to use as rustic, eye-catching autumn and Halloween decorations too. It can be eaten as sweetcorn, but isn’t as sweet as modern varieties, so we prefer to dry ours and use for popcorn.
Supplied in approx. 9cm pots. Each pot contains 6 plants approx ready to be split apart and planted in the garden.
