The rich-toned pepper has a sweet, mellow depth. Capsicum annuum ‘Sweetonia Chocolate’ is a striking and unusual variety, prized for its distinctive colour and smooth flavour. The block fruits grow from green to a deep chocolate brown from mid to late summer. With a very mild kick, these peppers are ideal for roasting, slicing or adding depth to cooked dishes.
Plant in fertile, moist, but well-drained soil in a warm, sunny position for the best results. Water consistently during dry spells and also feed with fertiliser to encourage growth and fruiting. A fantastic choice for home gardeners, offering unique, eye-catching produce.
