Architectural and eye-catching, Sambucus nigra ‘Golden Tower’ is a beautifully upright elder with finely cut, bright golden foliage that brings light and structure to the garden. In early summer, clusters of soft, creamy-white flowers appear, followed by small dark berries, creating seasonal interest and attracting pollinators.
Ideal for contemporary gardens, cottage borders and urban spaces where vertical accents are much needed, it pairs well with grasses and darker-leaved shrubs. This sambucus is easy to grow in most well-drained soils in sun or partial shade. Plant in borders or large containers and prune lightly in early spring to maintain a neat shape, also ensuring healthy growth.
