Robinia ‘Lace Lady’ is a shrub admired for its beautifully contorted branches and finely textured foliage, which together create a sculptural silhouette. Its elegant, architectural form brings year-round interest to the garden, lending character and movement to both contemporary and informal settings.
This ornamental robinia thrives in a sunny position and prefers well-drained soil, where it will develop its best form and maintain healthy growth. It works particularly well alongside plants that highlight its shape and light canopy, such as ornamental grasses like Miscanthus sinensis, low shrubs like Perovskia ‘Blue Spire’, or groundcovers such as Nepeta racemosa ‘Walkers Low’ to soften the base. To maintain the plant, minimal pruning is required; simply remove any dead, damaged or crossing branches in late winter or early spring to preserve its natural, twisting structure.
