Rhododendron Hybride Horizon Monarch

The highly prized hybrid rhododendron ‘Horizon Monarch’ is known for its big, eye-catching blooms and strong growth. Gorgeous clusters of light yellow blooms with a striking orange splotch that provides a dramatic touch are the hallmark of this cultivar. In late April, the flowers blossom abundantly, creating a vivid display against the backdrop of dark green, dense foliage.
 
‘Horizon Monarch’, which reaches a height and spread of approximately 1.5 to 2 metres, is ideal for use as a spectacular specimen plant or in forest gardens or mixed borders. It does best in slightly shaded areas to shield the flowers from the afternoon sun, which can dull their vivid hues. It grows best in acidic, well-drained soil.
