Pulsatilla Vulgaris Rubra – Red Pasque Flower
£6.99
A unique early-season perennial, this cultivar brings rich colour and fine texture to spring borders and rock gardens. Deep crimson-red flowers appear in early spring, held above finely divided, silky foliage that adds interest even after flowering has finished. As the blooms fade, decorative, feathery seed heads extend the plant’s visual appeal well into late spring.
Pulsatilla vulgaris ‘Rubra’ thrives in well-drained soil and prefers a sunny position, making it particularly well suited to gravel gardens, alpine beds and raised borders where drainage is sharp. It pairs especially well with Armeria maritima, Dianthus ‘Cosmopolitan’ and Iris reticulata. Once established, it is drought-tolerant and long-lived, resisting disturbance and performing best when left undisturbed.
Supplied in approx. 1 litre containers.
