Potato Belle De Fontenay is a well-known variety of potato, easy to grow at home. It is much loved for its delicious flavour and prolonged storage period. Solanum tuberosum is ready to plant in mid-March to mid-April, soon ready to eat – harvest your Potato Belle De Fontenay from May to June. Ideal for growing in kitchen gardens, Potato Belle De Fontenay will thrive when positioned in a sunny spot with lots of space to develop. Solanum tuberosum produces smooth, kidney bean-shaped tubers and have a distinctive creamy yellow flesh. We secure the earliest, freshest lifted tubers to start our potato despatches in December, ensuring the best quality stock for our customers. We recommend storing in a cool, dark place until ready to chit.
