Pittosporum Tenuifolium

Pittosporum tenuifolium is a fast and easy to grow evergreen shrub boosting attractive foliage and delicate purple flowers. This large, broadly columnar shrub is loved for its glossy light green leaves that are noticeably crinkled due to their wavy margins and contrast amazingly against the dark purple, almost black stems. The small, honey-scented deep purple flowers bloom in clusters from late spring to early summer adding an elegant fragrance to your garden. These bell-shaped flowers are then followed by light black seeds in summer and autumn. A beautiful evergreen shrub, Pittosporum tenuifolium is the perfect perennial to place at the back of a mixed border and can also be planted on mass to create a screen or hedging. 
 
This shrub can establish well in any soil type or pH but does prefer to have access to full sun or partial shade. Make sure your Pittosporum isn’t too exposed to cold winds and is placed in moist or well-drained soil.
