Picea Abies Maxwellii

Commonly known as Maxwell’s Norwegian spruce, this dwarf tree is the perfect evergreen to add colour and structure to your garden. It’s characteristic dense green needles make it a great specimen plant placed on its own or as a contrast to other plants in a border. “Maxwelli” is easy to control and maintain as it is slow growing and will only reach a height of 1.5 metres after 10 years. It is perfect in a patio container or to outline paths and driveways with its characteristic globe shape and stunning colour.
 
This Picea grows well in full sun and partial-shade and should be planted in moist but well-drained soil. Once established it will display some drought tolerance and is extremely hardy so can thrive in exposed or sheltered areas.
