Muscari ‘Mount Hood’ is a charming spring-flowering bulb admired for its unusual two-tone blooms that fade from rich sky blue at the base to snowy white at the tip. Flowering in early to mid-spring, these fragrant grape-like flower spikes rise above neat green foliage, creating a fresh and eye-catching display perfect for cottage gardens, rockeries, woodland planting and patio containers. This compact variety naturalises beautifully and looks especially effective planted in generous drifts where its cool tones can truly shine.
Ideal for adding early-season colour, ‘Mount Hood’ pairs wonderfully with other spring perennials such as tulips and daffodils for a layered seasonal display. The flowers are loved by pollinators and return reliably year after year with very little attention. Plant in well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade for the best results.  Allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering to help build strength for the following spring’s blooms.
