A simply stunning crab apple variety providing year-round interest. Highly resistant to disease. Abundance of spring flowers followed by a heavy fruit crop of a beautiful fiery red colour, pleasing for both you and wildlife. Winner of RHS Award of Garden Merit!
‘Adirondack’ is the perfect ornamental tree for small spaces with an ultimate height of 4-8 metres and a spread of 2.5-4 metres in 20 years. Large waxy, white flowers bloom abundantly in spring from deep red buds, and this is followed in autumn by small yellow fruit which gradually turn red as they age. Its small upright, shrub-like habit and hardiness means that it can thrive and fit in almost any area. This Crabapple tree is well suited to a border planting scheme or solo planting in a lawn or container.
A versatile plant ‘Adirondack’ can grow in any soil type provided it is moist but well drained. It will thrive in full sun or partial shade and can tolerate an exposed or sheltered area.
Supplied in approx. 2 litre containers.
