Leycesteria Formosa Golden Lanterns

Known by many names, including Himalayan Honeysuckle and Pheasant Berry, Leycesteria formosa ‘Golden Lanterns’ is a highly ornamental shrub that adds a vivid pop of colour to any garden. From mid-summer to early autumn, this variety’s beautiful golden-yellow foliage and flowing white and burgundy blooms make it stand out. Pretty purple berries that are well-liked by birds come next.
 
“Golden Lanterns” is a great option for borders or as a focal point in a wildlife garden because it usually reaches a height and spread of about two metres. It can grow in full sun or light shade, although it requires well-drained soil. In full sun, the colour of the leaves becomes very vibrant.
