Leptospermum Scoparium ‘Red Damask’

Leptospermum scoparium ‘Red Damask’ is an amazing evergreen shrub renowned for its masses of rich deep crimson-red, double flowers that smother the branches throughout late spring and early summer. Commonly known as New Zealand Tea Tree, this compact variety provides exceptional colour and year-round structure with its fine, aromatic dark green foliage. The vivid blooms are highly attractive to bees and pollinators, making it an excellent choice for wildlife-friendly gardens, mixed borders and patio displays.
Growing to around 1.5–2m in height and spread, ‘Red Damask’ is easy to grow, drought-tolerant once established, and thrives in sunny, sheltered positions. Its vivid flowers contrast beautifully with silver foliage plants, grasses and Mediterranean-style planting schemes. Plant in well-drained, preferably acidic soil in full sun for the best flowering display. Water regularly during establishment and lightly prune after flowering to maintain a neat, bushy shape.
