Papageno, better known as Raspberry Ripple, is a captivating addition to any garden or perhaps patio area. This Papageno Standard Rose will provide a gorgeous and dramatic show thanks to the amazing flowers. ‘Raspberry Ripple’ as they quite literally resemble the favourite icecream, is the easier of the names to explain. Papageno, being the colourful character from Mozart’s opera! This Rose is renowned for extravagant, frilly blooms that combine vivid pink, red, and occasionally yellow hues with creamy white to create a Rose with a playful shade – in fact no two blooms ever seem quite the same.
Flowers appear from early summer to late autumn, plus they flower profusely, creating a long-lasting display of colour and scent. The benefit of growing standard roses of course is that the lovely flowers are raised to eye level on a standard, single tall stem where they grow in abundance that the intricate and vibrant petals may be easily appreciated. They are ideal for flanking doorways or a path, or perhaps used in large containers too. Grown as a standard ‘lollipop’ style tree with a clear stem topped by young branches, with an overall height of around 120cm already, these will grow out quickly and bloom at an overall height of around 150-180cm.
