Large 6ft+ Specimen Climber – Actinidia Kolomikta

Actinidia kolomikta is a vigorous climber prized for its dramatic variegated foliage, with rich green leaves boldly splashed and tipped in soft pink and creamy white, creating a painterly effect from late spring onwards. As the season progresses, the colouring intensifies, making this unusual plant a true focal point on walls, fences, pergolas, or trellises, where its lush growth brings both height and colour to the garden.
It thrives in a sunny or lightly shaded position sheltered from strong winds, in fertile, well-drained soil that retains some moisture, and looks especially effective when paired with darker evergreens or neutral backdrops that enhance its colouring. To maintain the plant, prune lightly in winter to control size and shape, avoiding heavy cuts in spring when the sap is rising, and water well during dry spells to support healthy, colourful growth.
