Hyacinth Bean ‘Silver Moon’ – Lablab (Dolichos) Purpureus

Lablab purpureus ‘Silver Moon’ is a vigorous climbing annual producing elegant sprays of creamy-white pea-like flowers from midsummer through to autumn. The blooms are followed by attractive pale seed pods that extend the season of interest, while the lush foliage provides excellent coverage for fences, arches and trellis panels.
This versatile climber is ideal for cottage gardens, kitchen gardens and ornamental screening. It combines beautifully with clematis and sweet peas for a layered display. Easy to maintain, plants require little more than regular watering during dry spells and occasional feeding to encourage flowering. Plant in fertile, moist, but well-drained soil in full sun and provide strong support for the fast-growing stems.
