Hemerocallis ‘Villa Vanilla’

The Hemerocallis ‘Villa Vanilla’ is a daylily variety that gives a quiet and unassuming look to the pastel, creamy shade that you find in your garden. Large, ruffled blooms on this cultivar emanate with a soft colour of vanilla, and every petal is well modulated, becoming of a pale-yellow shade around the centre as it circles a bright green throat. The palette at Villa Vanilla is softer than the sharp, strongly coloured daylilies, and colours also feature early in mid-summer. 
 
Plant in full sun or partial shade in fertile, well-drained soil. Water in dry spells and deadhead spent blooms to prolong flowering. Lovely in mixed borders, cottage gardens, or paired with blues and purples like salvia or nepeta.
