There aren’t many hardy perennials which offer pure orange flowers, but Geums excel in this colour range and Geum ‘Borisii’ is no exception. The single, red-orange flowers with golden stamens aren’t showy but their exceptionally vivid colour really pops in the border, especially when paired with purples and violets such as Verbena rigida. The flowers are held at the end of upright stems, just above neat mounds of scalloped leaves which carpet the ground. Like other geums, it has a long flowering season, and with regular deadheading will continue from late spring until the end of summer. Height and Spread: 30cm (12″).
