In fact, it’s so adaptable it will be equally at home in a sunny spot or rockery too. Many plants which survive in dry shade are drab, but this is definitely not the case with Geranium ‘Intense’. A type of Geranium cantabrigiense, it is a big improvement on other varieties due to the rich intensity of its flower colour – a vivid pink which will instantly illuminate borders and cheer up dreary corners. It is a prolific flowerer and highly attractive to bees and other pollinators. Better still, after flowering, Geranium ‘Intense’ has a second season of interest in the autumn when the semi-evergreen leaves take on beautiful red tints. Height: 25cm (10′). Spread: 50cm (20′).
