Choose this hardy Geranium if you are looking for ground cover for a shady spot in the garden. Geranium himalayense has attractive purple-blue flowers in early summer, and often continues to produce more flowers right through to autumn. Its interestingly shaped leaves turn bright red in autumn. Like others in the Cranesbill family it is at home in a cottage garden or the herbaceous border and is great for providing ground cover and suppressing weeds, but unlike most others, Geranium himalayense is especially useful as it thrives even in shade. Height: 45cm (18). Spread: 60cm (24).
