Echinacea ‘Sombrero Special Yellow Red’ is a beautiful coneflower with flaming bi-colored flowers that brighten summer borders. Each daisy-like bloom has gorgeous golden-yellow petals with deep crimson centres that encompass a large coppery cone. This compact, clump-forming perennial blooms from early to late summer, attracting bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, making it ideal for wildlife gardens.
Once established, it thrives in well-drained soil and full light, is drought-tolerant, and requires little maintenance. Deadhead wasted blossoms to stimulate new flowers, or leave them for winter interest and bird feed. Ideal for mixed borders, prairie planting, or pots, and looks great with Rudbeckia, Salvia, or ornamental grasses for a bright, sun-loving display.
