SPECIAL DEAL – Usually 7.99, today just 5.99 – Save £2!
Digitalis purpurea ‘Suttons Apricot’ is a classic cottage garden favourite, admired for its tall spires of bell-shaped flowers that bloom in a soft mix of orange and pink shades, just like an apricot. Each flower is distinctly speckled on the inside and arranged upward along the stem, giving the plant a more open and elegant appearance than traditional foxgloves. Growing up to 1.5 metres tall, ‘Suttons Apricot’ creates a striking vertical appearance in borders and is highly attractive to bees and other pollinators.
Plant in partial shade or full sun in moist, well-drained soil that is rich in organic matter. Allow space between plants for good air circulation, and water during prolonged dry periods. Deadhead spent flower spikes to encourage further blooms, or allow seed heads to form if naturalising is desired. Ideal for mixed borders, wildlife gardens, or shaded spots with dappled light.
Supplied in approx 1 litre containers.
