Deutzia Mont Rose

Deutzia ‘Mont Rose’ is a free-flowering deciduous shrub, prized for its clusters of soft blush-pink flowers that gently cover the arching branches in late spring to early summer. Each bloom opens with a delicate, star-like form and subtle colour gradation, creating a light, romantic display that brightens informal planting schemes, cottage gardens or mixed shrub borders.
This Deutzia thrives in a sunny to lightly shaded position and prefers moist or poorly drained soil, where it will flower most generously and maintain a healthy, balanced shape. It combines beautifully with shrubs such as Philadelphus ‘Belle Etoile’ or Spiraea ‘Arguta’ for a layered spring display. To maintain the plant, prune immediately after flowering by removing spent blooms and lightly thinning older stems, which encourages strong new growth and ensures a plentiful show of flowers the following year.
