The Gold Nugget Ice Plant, or Delosperma congestum, is a colourful and resistant groundcover that is ideal for bringing a pop of colour to garden areas. Small, fleshy green leaves that efficiently store moisture provide a backdrop for the brilliant yellow daisy-like flowers that bloom profusely in early to mid-summer on this succulent perennial. Delosperma congestum is a great choice for rockeries, alpine gardens, and paths where its mat-forming habit can be fully appreciated. It is suited for full sun and grows best in well-drained soil.
