Cucumber Partner F1 (Gherkin)

A premium cucumber, Cucumis sativus ‘Partner F1’ is prized for its compact size, deep green skin and crisp, crunchy texture. These productive gherkins develop from slender young fruits into short, slightly bumpy cucumbers with excellent flavour and a satisfyingly firm bite. This versatile cucumber is best enjoyed pickled for traditional gherkins, sliced fresh into salads, or added to sandwiches and summer platters for extra crunch.
Supplied as an established potted plant, it thrives in a sunny, sheltered position in fertile soil or growbags. Support with canes or trellis, tie stems in as they climb, and water regularly to encourage healthy growth and consistent crops. Feed weekly once fruits begin forming to maximise yields and flavour. Remove the tip of the plant once it reaches the top of the supports to allow branching. Pair with companions like marigolds to attract pollinators and help deter pests. Ideal for kitchen gardens, allotments or patio growing, where its unusual fruits and delicious fruits make an excellent choice for home growers.
