A beautiful deciduous tree, Cornus kousa ‘China Girl’ is valued for its creamy-white flower petals that bloom in early summer and its eye-catching red fruits that resemble strawberries in the autumn. Seasonal interest is added as its lush green foliage turns into blazing tones of red and orange in the autumn. With its year-round attractiveness, this compact, slow-growing tree is ideal for modest gardens.
Best planted in well-drained, fertile soil in full sun or partial shade. ‘China Girl’ thrives in sheltered positions, making it ideal for borders or as a specimen tree. Water regularly until established and mulch annually to retain moisture.
