Chamaecyparis lawsoniana ‘Stardust’ is a lovely, evergreen tree which definitely earns its magical name. Its foliage is bright green, sometimes bordering on yellow with hints of bronze. Not only is this tree a great addition for some winter interest, but it is also low maintenance and doesn’t require any pruning!
Its dense growth habit makes it perfect for helping to reduce noise, particularly as it quickly forms a closed hedge when planted 60cm apart. A fast growing variety which displays up to 60cm of new growth per year, it is much more manageable than the better known leylandii with this tamer rate of growth and eventual height of around 10 metre if left unclipped.
Grow this tree in full sun to get the maximum golden colouring from it. It is versatile and can be grown in any soil type that is well-drained and kept moist.
Supplied in approx. 2-3 litre containers at 3-4ft tall.
