Chaenomeles x Superba Orange Trail

This gorgeous shrub has small, glossy leaves which give an overall beautiful appearance. ‘Orange Trail’ is a small, spiny deciduous shrub of spreading habit, with glossy, obovate leaves up to 5cm in length. Flowers 3.5cm in width and are lovely red in early spring-summer. It provides edible yellow fruit which ripen in autumn and are suitable for making jelly.
This is an extremely versatile plant which will thrive in any soil type that is well-drained and kept moist. It will also grow in exposed or sheltered conditions in gardens of any aspect. Full sun or partial shade will keep this plant happy.
