Bright Berberis Collection – Pack of Three

The Hardy Stunning Berberis Collection offers a bold and colourful trio of Japanese barberries, prized for their richly hued foliage and naturally dense, sculptural habit. Each plant brings it’s own character of foliage to creata a tapestry of colour when combined together at planting time. Colours that intensify through the seasons, creating bright borders or low hedging.
Their compact, finely branched growth provides strong structure while also acting as an excellent foil for softer planting.
Berberis thrive in a sunny to lightly shaded position and prefer well-drained soil, proving highly adaptable once established and tolerant of a range of garden conditions. They pair particularly well with plants that soften and contrast their strong colour, such as Hydrangea paniculata ‘Limelight’ for lightness, ornamental grasses like Miscanthus sinensis ‘Morning Light’ for movement, or evergreen shrubs such as Buxus or Hebe to anchor the planting.
To maintain the plants, simply trim lightly to your desired shape after flowering or in late summer, removing any congested or damaged stems while allowing their natural form to shine.
