Bergenia Vintage Rose – Elephant’s Ears

Widely renowned for its excellent foliage and rose-pink flowers, Bergenia ‘Vintage Rose’ produces rose-pink flowers on striking red stems. It’s the common name. “Elephant’s Ears” comes from its large, rounded, leathery leaves, which provide bold structure year-round and often develop attractive bronze tones in colder months. This versatile perennial is perfect for borders, ground cover or container planting.
This beautiful evergreen performs well in all soil types and drainage conditions, prefers full sun or partial shade, and is exceptionally hardy. Low maintenance, simply remove old leaves and spent flower stems to keep the plant looking tidy. Pair with hellebores, hostas or heuchera for spring interest. A fantastic choice for cottage, woodland or low-maintenance garden styles.
