Aster Dumosus Tonga – Michaelmas Daisy

A vibrant and dependable Michaelmas daisy, Aster dumosus ‘Tonga’, produces masses of long-lasting, purple, daisy-like flowers with bright yellow centres from late summer through to mid-autumn. Its compact habit creates a fabulous splash of colour just as many other plants begin to fade.
Perfect for herbaceous borders, it combines beautifully with ornamental grasses and late-flowering perennials. Plant in full sun in well-drained, moderately fertile soil, watering regularly until established and deadheading to prolong flowering.
