Aronia x prunifolia ‘Autumn Magic’

This Chokeberry’s name derives from the spectacular red and orange display it puts on in autumn. Before its leaves take on these colourful tones, they are green and waxy. The hardy shrub’s foliage is also slow growing, making it a great specimen plant, particularly for large borders. April sees Aronia x prunifolia ‘Autumn Magic’ bear white flowers, which grow in attractive clusters. These blooms are succeeded by black, round berries, which remain appealing to birds and gardeners alike even in some winter months. The Chokeberry thus works its magic all year round, not just in the autumn. Height: 1.5m (4’11); Spread: 2m (6’7).
