Allium neapolitanum is a perennial bulbous plant that can natively be found across the Mediterranean, from Portugal to Turkey.
With globe shaped heads of star shaped florets, this Allium is a stunning addition to the garden, adding impact when planted in groups in beds and borders, perhaps twinned with some of the other varieties of allium. The blooms appear around May to July.
It can also be container grown or used as an excellent cut flowers which have a sweet fragrance. Don’t miss this dwarf Allium as a naturaliser too, producing its profusion of dainty white flowers above narrow grass like foliage.
