Hollyhock, or Alcea rosea ‘Chater’s Double Salmon Pink,’ is a magnificent traditional garden favourite that is well-known for its tall, sturdy stalks that are loaded with rich, ruffled, double flowers that have a gorgeous salmon pink colour. These striking flowers, which bloom from mid-summer to early autumn, provide any cottage garden or floral border a striking vertical accent. ‘Chater’s Double Salmon Pink’ grows best in full sun and well-drained soil, making it a perfect choice for planting behind a border or along a fence for a lovely backdrop. For the sake of maintaining its towering flowers, it prefers moderate irrigation, especially during dry spells. Deadheading frequently will promote the formation of additional blooms.
