Alcea Chaters Double Red – Hollyhock (Althea)

This classic garden plant produces stunning displays of vibrant red flowers in the summer. They are formed as pyramids of funnel-shaped blooms and create a really magnificent sight. It has lovely green leaves from the spring to the autumn which complement the flowers beautifully.
Grow this plant in any well-drained soil avoiding clay. Growing it in full sun in a south-facing garden will help it to produce its beautiful blooms.
